UPDATES
February 2025
Construction Update
The marina expansion is anticipated to open in Spring 2028.
Ongoing Work
-
As of Saturday, 2/21, crews have completed construction of the perimeter dike and closure plug, enclosing the new marina area.
-
Dewatering activities will begin soon to remove water inside the new marina area, which will allow excavation inside the marina to begin.
-
Concurrent with marina construction, our crews have also been constructing a wetland mitigation site adjacent of Big Creek at the south end of Bear Lake. This mitigation site will develop improved habitat to offset impacts from marina construction.
Public Safety Advisory
-
Boaters: Please continue to stay outside the designated buoy lines near the construction zone and exercise caution while on the water.
-
Motorists: Use extra care when driving near the construction site, especially when entering or exiting the marina parking lot. Reduced speeds are strongly encouraged.
